I got a rejection today from Weird Tales for "Last Man Standing." I sent it snail mail on March 2nd. To Florida. That must be a land-speed record or something. So I bought two old movies: True Lies and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. It's like comfort food, only better.
Back to the old drawing board. I'm selling this story. It refuses to die!

It's funny you bought "Fast times". I just had a conversation about that movie a couple of days ago.
STILL ROCKIN, BABY! DO IT! YEAH! NEVER GIVE UP.
Art is resistance.
Hey- the Pentecostals told me you are writing about witchcraft and told me not to associate with you anymore.
Really? Or are you just yankin' my chain?
The real trick is to try to get your book A)banned by librarians--this is sure to provoke good ole' American orneriness and sell you a couple boatloads of books--or B) blacklisted by the Catholic Church, which will ensure that nearly every Catholic, and certainly most reading groups, will purchase copies to read and debate about. I've got one about how Jesus was a Druid. Can't wait to go to hell for that one.
